Big Time Hoops has been a trusted organizer of youth basketball tournaments across the United States since 2011, hosting competitive events for boys’ and girls’ teams from 9U to 18U. The organization gives young athletes a professional platform to develop their skills, build character, and gain exposure to college coaches and scouts. With events in multiple states and a well-structured tournament system, Big Time Hoops has earned the confidence of clubs, schools, and travel programs nationwide.
The Circuit of Champions: A Premier Series
The Circuit of Champions is the flagship series at the heart of Big Time Hoops’ annual schedule. In 2026, the series will travel to Washington, D.C., Triadelphia, Austin, Philadelphia, Memphis, Myrtle Beach, Dallas, Chicago, Greensboro, and other cities, bringing high-level competition to teams across the country.
Each tournament uses a pool play plus bracket play format, guaranteeing every team at least 3 games—with some events offering 4 to 5. This ensures that all participants gain meaningful court time and competitive experience, regardless of how far they advance.
Tiered Competition Levels
Teams are placed into “A,” “B,” and “C” tiers based on self-assessment. The “A” Tier is designed for national travel teams with championship experience, the “B” Tier suits teams that have won bracket games at regional tournaments, and the “C” Tier welcomes parks and recreation programs and newly formed squads. This tiered structure creates balanced matchups and keeps competition fair and engaging at every level.
Professional Event Management
Big Time Hoops brings a high level of professionalism to event operations. Games are managed with staff-run clocks rather than volunteers, and events include on-site trainers, security personnel, and media teams. This professional staffing creates a smooth, well-organized atmosphere where teams can focus entirely on competing.
Select events enhance the experience with player interviews, free event photos, customized trophies, and a free event app that keeps schedules and results easily accessible. Most tournaments are held under one roof, simplifying logistics for teams and families alike.
Multi-Team Discount Program
Clubs also enjoy automatic multi-team discounts. Teams registering 2 to 5 squads receive 10% off, 6 to 25 teams receive 15% off, 26 to 50 teams receive 20% off, and programs bringing 51 or more teams receive 25% off. This encourages clubs to bring multiple age groups to the same event, keeping entire programs together.
National Showcase and National Championships
The National Showcase and National Championships represent the pinnacle of Big Time Hoops competition. The 2026 National Showcase is scheduled for May 30–31 in Triadelphia, West Virginia, with participation capped at 72 teams, ensuring an exclusive and highly competitive field.
The National Championships will take place July 18–19 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2025, teams from 20 states competed, and every squad is guaranteed 4 games. These events attract college coaches and scouts, making them valuable exposure opportunities for players hoping to compete at the next level.
Pricing and Registration Details
Circuit of Champions events typically cost between $299 and $379, with national events priced slightly higher. Registration generally closes seven days before each event, and late registration carries an increased fee, so teams are encouraged to register early.
Spectator tickets are sold separately—single-day general admission is around $15 to $22, with reduced rates for youth ages 6–12. Select events also offer negotiated hotel discounts, helping families manage travel expenses.
A Mission Built on Development
For Big Time Hoops, competition is about more than winning. The organization’s mission is to cultivate teamwork, leadership, discipline, and resilience in young athletes through well-run, high-quality events. Every tournament is designed to challenge players and help them grow both on and off the court.
For players aiming to compete at higher levels, the showcase and national championship events provide meaningful exposure to college coaches. Since 2011, Big Time Hoops has steadily expanded its event network and earned its reputation as a trusted organizer in the youth basketball landscape.
